OUR FUEL SURCHARGE POLICY

Our fuel surcharge is calculated to provide a fair and transparent method of reflecting the fluctuating cost of fuel. The surcharge is directly tied to the UK average diesel price index, which is officially released by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS). This independent government data provides a reliable and objective basis for our calculations. By using this recognized index, we ensure our surcharge structure is both consistent and easily verifiable.

Due to the official release schedule of the BEIS data, our fuel surcharge is calculated using a two-month historical model. For instance, the UK average diesel PPL (pence per litre) price index for March will be used to determine the fuel surcharge applied to all services and invoices in May. This two-month delay allows us to access and process the final, validated government data, ensuring accuracy in our pricing and giving you clear foresight into the upcoming month's surcharge.

To maintain clarity and transparency, the fuel surcharge is always kept separate from our base rates. It will be clearly listed as a distinct entry on all invoices, so you can easily see the breakdown of your total cost. This approach ensures that any changes to the cost of fuel do not impact the core pricing of our services.

Please be aware that all quotes and bookings are subject to both our fuel surcharge and the standard VAT (Value Added Tax). The specific fuel surcharge percentage for the current month will be updated on our website on the 5th of each month, keeping you informed of the latest rate. We are committed to transparency, and this structure allows us to adapt to market changes while providing you with a predictable and fair pricing system.
